Abstract

ESG ( Environmental, Social and Governance) encompasses a business's influence on the environment and society, alongside the strength and transparency of its governance including leadership, executive compensation, audits, internal controls, and shareholder rights.The study aims to examine ESG practices and their role in promoting sustainable development, social responsibility, ethical governance, community welfare, and long-term organizational sustainability. The paper focuses on the key components of ESG, its significance for businesses, investors, employees, communities, and society, and examines the advantages and challenges associated with ESG implementation. The study is based on secondary data collected from scholarly articles, policy reports, sustainability frameworks, websites, newspapers, and magazines.
